My approach to public policy is grounded in a simple goal: making Colorado a place where people can afford to live, raise a family and build a future. I’ve spent my career working in coalitions to turn those values into real policy, and I want to bring that same experience to the legislature.

Affordability touches nearly every part of our lives. Housing, healthcare, childcare, groceries, education, transportation, insurance and taxes all compete for the same paycheck. I know good policy can make a difference because I helped lead the coalition that passed paid FAMLI leave, giving Colorado workers greater financial security when they need time to care for themselves or their families.
I support lowering everyday costs, expanding affordable childcare and healthcare, supporting small businesses and workers, and investing in infrastructure that keeps our communities safe and reduces long-term costs.

Reproductive Freedom & Strong Families
I spent years working in Colorado’s reproductive freedom movement, helping expand access to contraception and reproductive healthcare and working to establish abortion as a right in the Colorado Constitution.
But reproductive justice is about more than abortion. People deserve the freedom and resources to build the families and lives they choose. That means protecting reproductive healthcare while investing in childcare, paid leave, workplace protections, strong public schools and safe communities.

I’ve been honored to work alongside organized labor and help unions build the political power necessary to advocate for their members. I believe workers deserve fair wages and benefits, safe workplaces, and a meaningful right to organize.
Strong communities also require accessible childcare, well-funded public schools, and support for the educators who serve our kids. As a small business owner, I believe supporting responsible businesses and protecting workers are complementary goals, not competing ones.

I have repeatedly testified at the Capitol against legislation targeting immigrants and other attempts to use government power against vulnerable communities. Those experiences inform my belief that Colorado has a responsibility to protect civil rights, due process and equal treatment under the law.
As technology evolves, that responsibility also means protecting Coloradans from unlawful surveillance and misuse of personal data. Innovation should strengthen our economy without sacrificing privacy, civil liberties or consumer protections.

How we treat people within our criminal justice system says something fundamental about our values. I helped advocate for legislation ending the shackling of pregnant and laboring incarcerated people because incarceration should never erase a person’s basic dignity or right to appropriate medical care.
I support a criminal justice system focused on safety and accountability while protecting constitutional rights, humane treatment and opportunities for people to successfully return to their communities.

I’ve served on both Denver’s Ballot Modernization Committee and Elections Charter Review Commission and have spent my career working with and running different types of political organizations. That experience has given me a practical perspective on how election and campaign finance laws work outside of the theoretical world of legislation.
I support protecting voting rights, safeguarding elections from unlawful interference and strengthening transparency in political spending. Campaign finance reform should be proactive and enforceable, but it should also be carefully designed so that the rules actually accomplish their intended purpose rather than creating unintended loopholes or barriers.
